Recent UNT graduates can earn a presidential scholarship with Spring 2027 admission to a high demand graduate degree program!

Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for the UNT Presidential Graduate Scholarship. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduate from UNT with a bachelor’s degree in Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026, or Fall 2026 with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Be classified as a resident of Texas
  • Be admitted to a master’s degree program for the Spring 2027 semester to one of the following high demand degree programs:
College of Engineering
College of Information

College of Information applicants to the following programs are not required to submit GRE/GMAT test scores for admission.

G. Brint Ryan College of Business

G. Brint Ryan College of Business applicants who meet the academic criteria outlined above are automatically waived from the GMAT/GRE testing requirement. See the RCOB Application Checklist for details. 

There is no separate application for this scholarship. Award decisions will be made based on your academic records and admission to applicable degree programs. Priority consideration for this scholarship will be given to students who complete the application process by December 1, 2026.

Awarding Details

Scholarship award notices for Spring 2027 academic year are anticipated to begin October 15, 2026 for students admitted for Spring 2027 to one of the above listed programs by October 1. For students admitted after October 1, please allow about two weeks after your admission to an applicable program for a scholarship decision. All scholarship notices will be sent to students’ EagleConnect email.     

Spring 2027 awards offered will be renewable for up to 4 semesters. Receipt of funding will require enrollment in 9 or more hours in each semester of receipt.  Funding is not applicable for the summer term. 

The renewal criteria for subsequent awards includes:

  • Successful completion of 9 semester credit hours each semester of receipt
  • Continuous enrollment, not including summer
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
